Risk Acceptance & Terms
Sauna Risk Acceptance
By booking, entering and using the sauna, you and all parties named in your booking confirm that you have read, understood, and accept the following:
Health & Safety
- You use the sauna at your own risk.
- If you have any medical conditions – especially heart issues, respiratory problems, high/low blood pressure, or are pregnant – please consult your doctor before using the sauna.
- If you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous, or unwell at any time, exit the sauna immediately, cool down, and seek help if needed.
- Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water before, during, and after your sauna session.
- The use of alcohol or recreational drugs before and during your sauna use is strictly prohibited.
- Swimming or dipping in the Lake is undertaken entirely at your own risk.
Children
- The Wild Sauna Company does not permit anyone under the age of 18 to use the sauna.
Safe Use Guidelines
- Sit on a towel at all times.
- Be aware that the stove and stones are extremely hot – do not touch the stove under any circumstances and take extra care when pouring water on the stones.
- Under no circumstances should sauna guests add logs to the wood burning stove – this must be done by a member of the Wild Sauna Company team.
- Exit slowly and carefully; the floor may be slippery when wet.
- Use the handrail when entering or exiting the sauna steps.
- Do not bring glass bottles or sharp objects into the sauna.
- All metal jewellery should be removed prior to entering the sauna as metal not only gets very hot and could cause burns but your jewellery could sustain heat-related damage.
- The sauna is a shared, respectful space, please be mindful of others.
Liability Waiver
By booking, entering and using the sauna and/or choosing to swim or dip in the Lake of Menteith you:
- Accept full responsibility for your own health, safety, and behaviour.
- Release The Wild Sauna Company and Karma Lake of Menteith (and any associated staff) from any liability for injury, loss, or damage resulting from sauna use or swimming/dipping in the Lake of Menteith to the fullest extent permitted by UK law.
Cancellation Policy
The Wild Sauna Company reserves the right to cancel sauna or swim sessions at any time for any reason, in which case customers will receive a full refund or the opportunity to book another date.
Customers must give a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if they wish to cancel a sauna or swimming booking and qualify for a refund (less a £3 admin fee). If the required 48 hours’ notice is not provided, customers will be ineligible for a refund.
Customers are unable to pass their booking on to another person. A separate booking must be made to ensure that emergency contact details and risk acceptance is confirmed.
